The Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence, Fiona Richardson, today announced $50,000 funding for the Women’s Health Association of Victoria to deliver local initiatives and develop resources in a bid to prevent family violence before it occurs.
Women’s Health Victoria’s submission focuses on the need for the Victorian Government to invest in a comprehensive primary prevention strategy to address the root causes of violence against women.
The Victorian women’s health sector recommends the development of a comprehensive women’s health policy and action platform for 2015–2019.
