Getting your friends, family or work colleagues together to raise funds for Women’s Health Victoria is a great way to support the work we do. It’s also an opportunity to have fun and do something meaningful at the same time. Importantly, it is a way to demonstrate your support for the health and wellbeing of women in your community.

Fundraise For Us

There are so many ways that you can fundraise for us. No matter how much you raise, it will make a difference! We’re sure that you have some great ideas but, in case you’re not sure what to do, here are some ideas to get you started.

Fundraising Ideas

Celebrate:  Ask for donations in lieu of gifts for your birthday, anniversary or house warming.

Physical Challenge:   Challenge yourself by walking, running, swimming, riding or doing a triathlon – and ask people to sponsor you.

Workplace Fun:  Organise a casual clothes day for a gold coin donation, or organise a wear your PJs to work day and ask your boss to match donations.

Get Creative:   Bake, brew, sew, knit, paint or construct something and sell it to raise money.

Host an Event:  Organise a movie night, morning tea, trivia night, karaoke night, fun walk, game of charades, tenpin bowling, lawn bowls, garage sale, cocktail party or scavenger hunt and request a donation from those that attend or participate.

Do a Dare:  Raise money by doing something daring and getting people to support you. Cut your hair, give up chocolate or lollies, dye your hair pink, wear funny socks for a month or skydive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where will the money go that I raise?

The money raised will go towards the health promotion, advocacy and support work that we do as outlined in our strategic plan.

Q: How do I send you the money that I raise?

After your fundraiser, please send the funds within 14 days. You can post cheques and money orders to GPO Box 1160 Melbourne, Victoria 3001 with your contact details on the back or you can deposit the funds in our bank account (please call us on 3 9664 9300 for banking details).

If a donor wishes to receive a tax deductible receipt from us, we recommend that you advise them to make their donation directly to us via our website, call us on 03 9664 9300 or donate to your GoFundraise page.
