Women’s Health Victoria delivers 1800 My Options – Victoria’s phone line for contraception, pregnancy options and sexual health information and pathways.

1800 My Options is a service that connects Victorian women – no matter where they live – with the information and services they need to optimise their sexual and reproductive health care outcomes.

1800 My Options Overview

Through a phone line operating weekdays 9am-5pm (1800 696 784) and a website, 1800 My Options provides evidence based information about contraception, pregnancy options and sexual health as well as pathways to appropriate and trusted health care services. 1800 My Options incorporates information provision with a database of hundreds of trusted providers of sexual and reproductive health care – including providers of long acting reversible contraception, abortion, STI testing, counselling and associated services.

1800 My Options is a free and confidential service.

History of 1800 My Options

1800 My Options was launched in March 2018 as part of the Victorian State Government’s first ever Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy (2017-2020). This strategy sets out key actions to reduce barriers and service gaps that affect women’s access to reproductive and sexual health services.

Since then, thousands of women have used the service to access the information and services they need.

a women centred service
confidential and free
non-judgemental and prochoice

We provide all Victorian women with:

centralised and comprehensive service information
referral to relevant, trusted clinical, support and counselling services
non-preferential referrals, based on each woman’s needs and location
a coordinated and interconnected approach to service delivery
