Working with workplaces: challenges and opportunities for workplace violence prevention and bystander programs

This paper explores some of the challenges and opportunities in workplace-based programs for the primary prevention of violence against women – including bystander programs – based on findings from program evaluation.

The purpose of this paper is to:

·         inform continuous improvement of Women’s Health Victoria’s Take a Stand program to ensure it remains consistent with current evidence and good practice; and

·         contribute to the evidence base on effective primary prevention practice, particularly in the workplace setting and in relation to bystander approaches.
