This submission emphasises the importance of considering both the gendered drivers of homelessness, and the specific needs of women experiencing homelessness, in any prevention and response efforts.
In particular, this submission highlights the need to pay specific attention to older women and women who have experienced or are experiencing family violence. WHV also endorses the submission by safe steps and all twelve recommendations outlined in its submission.
