Making Space for Women: Sexist advertising and the representation of women and girls in the media and public space

The speakers explore the representation of women and girls in advertising and public spaces and how this perpetuates stereotypes that drive violence against women. Innovative opportunities to improve the representation and inclusion of women in Victoria are also discussed.

This event, was presented in partnership with Plan International, City of Melbourne and Women’s Health Victoria, and funded through the State government’s Victoria Against Violence activities as part of the 2017 16 Days of Activism campaign.
