Do you care for women with early menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency (POI)? Have you found this a complex condition to treat and manage? Then this resource is for you!

The Healthtalk Australia Early Menopause: Health Practitioners’ Perspectives online resource is based on the video and audio-recorded experiences of 16 health practitioners from a range of specialties in relation to caring for women with early menopause or POI (spontaneous or caused by medical treatment). It also features extensive links to evidence-based health information, downloadable diagnostic and management algorithms, and a comprehensive Resources & Information page.

A key output of a NHMRC research project on which Women’s Health Victoria was a partner, the resource explores not only health practitioners’ reflections on the health aspects of early menopause but also the impacts on women’s personal and social lives, and is accompanied by a companion resource featuring women’s experiences.

This resource was created by Healthtalk Australia, Monash University & RMIT University in partnership with Women’s Health Victoria.
