Many Australians are responsible for caring in our community, however women take on the majority of informal caregiving and, in turn, shoulder most of the negative impacts. Explores the health and wellbeing, workforce participation, and financial implications for women carers. Discusses the national and Victorian policy context and challenges, and makes a number of recommendations for Government action to work towards a more fair and equitable system of care.
