National review of existing mental health programmes and services

Women’s Health Victoria’s submission makes several recommendations relating to the need to consider gender in mental health programmes and services, and highlights examples of effective and ineffective practices. Gender sensitivity and safety resources and training programs are suggested as an example of effective workforce development and training to improve the mental health experiences of women.
