National food plan green paper
Submission by Women’s Health Victoria to the National food plan green paper. The submission highlights the links between food insecurity and obesity and gender. It recommends that the Plan should describe how accessible and nutritious food will be available for all Australians, including measures to protect those who are vulnerable to poor nutrition. Also recommended is the use of a gender analysis framework and Gender Panel expertise across government departments, and the collection of sex-disaggregated data around key food insecurity measures.
