Inquiry into homelessness legislation
Submission by Women’s Health Victoria to the Parliamentary inquiry into homelessness legislation. Advocates for a broader, holistic homelessness service model that incorporates gender sensitivity and human rights principles. Legislative reform should be broad enough to encompass the diverse portfolios and services that intersect with homelessness (housing, health, justice etc.). Recommends a coordinated approach in which gender and diversity are at the forefront of policy design and program delivery.
Submitted to: Australia. House of Representatives. Standing Committee on Family, Community, Housing and Youth. Further information on the inquiry can be found here.
