Inquiry into early intervention aimed at preventing youth suicide

Submission by Women’s Health Victoria to the: Inquiry into early intervention aimed at preventing youth suicide. Advocates that all aspects of the youth suicide intervention and prevention process should reflect gender sensitivity. Recommends: the collection and reporting of accurate, sex-disaggregated data on suicide, suicide attempts, and mental health; gender and culturally-sensitive mental health literacy programs; and gender-sensitive training for all professionals involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of programs and practice.
