Development of a national food plan
Submission by Women’s Health Victoria to the: Issues paper to inform development of a national food plan. The submission provides recommendations on: addressing the underlying social and economic factors which influence food insecurity; employing a coordinated comprehensive approach to address food insecurity; having a focus on identified groups of women most at risk; application of a gendered health framework in food policy and planning; and adopting a cross-sectoral approach to the development of the plan.
