A rights-based approach to women's health
A rights-based approach provides a framework to address the inequality, injustice and disadvantage that contribute to poor health. It is based on Australian and international human rights instruments. Explains the importance of a rights-based approach in ensuring that women have access to the opportunities needed to be healthy, such as education, economic participation, social inclusion, adequate housing and freedom from violence and discrimination.
