Violence Against Women
Clearinghouse Connector – March 2008
This edition of the Clearinghouse Connector profiles information resources that explore the issue of violence against women.
Violence against women takes many forms, occurs in a wide range of settings, and is experienced by women of all ages. In any form, it is a violation of human rights. Women who experience violence suffer a range of problems, including health, social and economic problems. The roots of violence against women lie in historically unequal power relations between men and women, discriminatory cultural norms and economic inequalities.
The Women’s Health Victoria Clearinghouse holds a large number of resources on violence against women, and below is a selection of recently added resources.
